Makgomo Chrome (Pty) Ltd, established in 2008, owns and operates a chrome ore beneficiation plant located at the Marula Platinum (Pty) Ltd mining operations near Steelpoort, in the Limpopo Province.
The operation forms an integral part of the chrome beneficiation process linked to platinum mining activities and contributes to local economic participation through community ownership structures.

Makgomo Chrome is jointly owned by the following shareholders:
Seventy-three percent (73%) of Marula Platinum is held by Implats, resulting in a consolidated effective holding of 50% for Implats. Magna Chrome serves as a catalyst for positive change and development in the six local communities.
